Qingdao Football Club, the most successful club in China's football history, has announced the appointment of a new coach for the upcoming season.
The team is currently in the league's relegation zone and needs a strong leader to save them from elimination. The club's president, Li Qiang, has appointed Li Hong as the new coach after a thorough evaluation process.
Li Hong was previously the head coach of Shanghai Shenhua, where he led his team to win the Chinese Super League in 2017 and 2018. He has also been the head coach of Guangzhou Evergrande, where he won the AFC Champions League in 2019.
"I am very excited about this opportunity," said Li Hong. "I have worked hard to build a strong team and improve our performance. I believe that we can achieve great things next season."
Li Hong has already made some impressive changes to the team. He has brought in experienced players such as Guan Xueqin and Song Xiliang, who have helped the team improve their defense and attack. He has also recruited young talents such as Zhang Jiaxin and Wang Ziyi, who have shown great potential.
"I am confident that we can perform well this season," said Li Hong. "We have a lot of talent on our team and we need to work together to achieve our goals."
The new coach will be responsible for leading the team through the rest of the season and working with the players to improve their skills and performance. He will also help the club to develop its youth academy and recruit talented players.
"We want to continue to build a strong team and improve our performance," said Li Qiang. "This is a new challenge for us, but we are ready to face it."
